Educational Fair of 2010 at Milagres Hall Opened

01.05.10 Mangalore : The Rotary club of south Mangalore arranged an
Educational Fair on May 1 at the Milagres Auditorium with Dr Mohan Alva of
Mudabidre Foundation in the chair, Rotarian Krishna Shetty was the guest of
honour. Educare trust co-sponsored the fair in which teachers and students
were present in large numbers. The Fair was opened by Dr M. Mohan Alva by
Lightingting the lamp.

Students are guided by resources persons from every walk of life, such as
defence, higher accountancy and Business administration, even fisheries and
farming are subjects taken up. Several colleges have participated in the
Fair.
Rotarian Krishna Shetty Released the Edu Care education directory of 2010 in
the occasion.

Ashok Kumar. B welcomed the Gathering. Rtn. Gopal K. Shetty delivered the
keynotes.
Later, meeting press reporters on the side of the Fair, Dr Mohan Alva
observed that Karnataka was falling behind in its steps of modern
education and knowledge. Universities in other states have gone forward,
with new subjects of study. Students are getting misled in regard to new
avenues of learning and earning, because they do not know which career to
get trained in and which they can prosper in life. Only medical and
engineering studies do not satisfy them, and CET seems do not help in
choosing a proper subject after PUC, he added.
The valedictory session is set up on2nd May, 2010 evening at the Town Hall
when city mayor Rajni Dugganna will preside at 6pm, with Dr K. Devdas Rai as
guest of honour, Rotary president Ashok Kumar and secretary Gopal Shetty
were present.
