Food Festival at Kadri Park attracts huge Food lovers

01.05.10 Mangalore : The DK Hotel and Restaurant Association in Mangalore organized a tourism development programme known as ‘Aahar Food Festival’ at Kadri Park on April 30, 2010.

 MLA N Yogish Bhat, a member of the state tourism development committee, inaugurated the food festival and said that, Catering the food forms an important part of tourism.

 He also said that, the local Mangaloreans rarely get to taste the Mangalorean cuisine, because many of the good mangalorean cooks have set up hotels and restaurants in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and many other cities.

 The venue was filled with the stalls set up by many hotels and restaurants people. The mouth watering biryanis from Royal Darbar, attracted the large number of non vegetarians.

 The restaurants like Gold Finch, Gateway, Palki, Maharaja, Bombay Lucky, Janata Deluxe, Utsav, Shreya Sweets, Komal Sweets, Hanuman Sweets, Sasural, Moti Mahal, Chefs, Hao Ming and Dinky Dine also participated in food event. 

 Zilla Panchayat president, Mr. Santhosh Kumar Bhandari,  and Mr. Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, president of the association, were also present on the occasion.
