College celebrated Alumni Day

03.04.10 Mangalore : The University College Alumni Association
organized its Alumni Day at University College premises on April 3,
Saturday.
Participating as the chief guest on the occasion, Prof T C Shivashankara
Murthy, the vice chancellor of Mangalore University said that earlier the
status as well as the education level of the government college was not up
to the mark, but after the it made as university college, it has practically
improved a lot and the credit goes to Union Minister for Law and Justice M
Veerappa Moily.

Prof K M
Kaveriappa, the former vice chancellor of Mangalore University, said that
there is lot of development taken place in the university college and still
more development in infrastructure is required.
Guests of
honour Dr. P Dayanand Pai, the chairman of Century Buildings in Bangalore,
said that Success always repeats, once in mind and once in reality. The
students of University College have reached the height of success in various
fields.

Later Prof T C Shivashankara Murthy, Prof K M Kaveriappa and Dr. P Dayanand
Pai were honoured on the occasion.
Ramesh Kumar, the treasurer; N Shashidhara Shetty and Namitha D Rai, the
joint secretaries, Dr. Lakshminarayana Bhatta H R, the principal of
University College were present on the dais.
D K Chowta, the president of the University College Alumni Association,
welcomed the gathering. Dr K Sundar Naik, secretary, Alumni Association read
the report. Sudhakar Rao Pejawar compered the programme.
