Congress asks BJP to get out on the Halappa episode

03.05.10 Bangalore : KPCC chief R.V. Deshpande, shaken out of steep or due to his party wrangling, demanded immediate arrest of BJP MLA H. Halappa who resigned recently minister, after exposure in a local daily of a rape case dating Nov 26th, 2009. He also asked for the ouster of Bookanakere, Yeddyurappa government which went from scandal to scam it took over state rule.

In a protest rally on M. G. Road at the Gandhi statue Congress shouted slogans against the BJP government and C.M. KPCC Chief R.V. Deshpande, referred to “3 sex scans in 2 years of BJP rule” and condemned the MLA/ministers responsible. The latest aggrieved rape victim had complained to DGP and the state governor, he said.
