Canon Photo Contest: Ravi Pasavanike top photo journalist.

04.06.10 Mangalore : The Times of India, Mangalore photo journalists Ravi Pasavanike won a Canon 7D camera costing Rs. 30,000/- as the prize for standing first in a contest for photo journalists only, when there were 60 such in the contest and 175 entries in all.

Anantha Subrahmanya of DNA got the second prize (a Canon 55 D Camera). Shashidhar of Deccan Chronicle took the third place, getting a Canon 550 D Camera. GK Hegde (Vijay Karnataka) and Deepanshu Sarkar (AFP) had consolation prizes in the form of Canon 1000 D Camera each.

The 3 – member Jury Panel had renowned photographers. The topic given was “Politics and Politicians”. Our Congratulations to all winners.
