NMPT holds valedictory ceremony of National Navy Maritime day

05.06.10 Mangalore : The Valedictory ceremony of 47th National Navy Maritime day was held at the New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) Panamboor, on Monday, April 5.

Gopal B Hosur, Inspector General of Police, said that the sea holds a important element in our day to day lives. Sea is just compared to a lady  like a lady who gets furious and also calms many a time.Ports play an important role in the economical development of nation. He also wished the port to get the prioprity through out the nation and become the best port in the coming days.

Hosur released the stamps and stickers of National Maritime Day on the occasion as well. Tamilvannan, Chairman, NMPTCC, presented a memento to Gopal B Hosur.

Capt Hareesh spoke on Sea Faring - a career of opportunities. Ivan Monterio, President, NMPTCC, welcomed the gathering.
