Governor Bharadhawaj in Udupi: opens Trauma Centre at KMC

 

06.05.10 Udupi : State Govenor Hans Raj Bharadhwaj, Ceremoniously opened a new Emergency and Trauma Hospital Centre in Manipal on Wednesday at the meeting point of two main roads going towards Udupi and Karkala, by inveiling a name-board. The centre attaché to KMC has all modern medical facilities like ICU and operation Theatres.

He visited the various wards where he distributed fruits to the ailing patients undergoing treatment for various injuries there.

Home minister Dr. V.S. Acharya, Manipal University Chancellor Dr. T. Ramdas M. Pai, KMC dean Sripathi Rao, Dr. H.S. Ballal, Dr. Valliathan, and the Governor’s wife, Prafullatha Bhardhwaj were in the elite group that visited the new wards.

Later, at a function organized in Hotel Valley view, the state governor hoped that poor people would also be associated with such a Trauma Centre, and more centres should be opened in areas which are accident-prone and have Trauma cases in a large measure these days.

The new Manipal Medical Centre for Trauma/Emergency cases has a clinical laboratory and all treatment facilities related to accidents and traumatic emergencies in the best standards.
