Two accused potential killers arrested

 

06.05.10 Mangalore : A crime intelligence bureau team headed by IP, H.N. Venkatesh Prasanna, has arrested on Wednesday, Mohammed Iqbal (30) and Altaf (22) on the charge of plotting to kill two Hindu lawyers in revenge for the murder of a lawyer, Naushad Kashimji from Kerala last year. Some dangerous weapons were recovered yesterday from the accused by the police team.

The two detained persons were hatching a conspiracy to kill Jagadish Shenava and Shantiprasad Hegde, who had RSS connections. Both the accused had criminal records. Police team has got a list of several other plotters in the gang to kill Hindu lawyers. The two men arrested, have been sent to Bunder police station for further legal action. It is said that Shenava escaped death when the police held the two potential killers just in time.
