'Alva's Virasat' with a sparkling start

" 'Alva's Virasat' in Moodbidri  from January 4"

07-01-09 `Alva's Virasat' is being held in Moodbidri for four days from January 4.This type of national- level festival had first been held 10 years ago. Mr. Hussain performed a "Jugalbandi" performance, with Sultan Khan on sarangi, Shashank on flute and Sathish Kumar on mridangam on the opening day. Mr. Vaidyanathan presented a violin concert, which was followed by a dance ballet performance in Mohiniyattam, "Samarpan", by Gopika Varma. Mr. Balasubramaniam presented a concert, after which Nirupama Rajendra and troupe performed a dance performance, "Ojas".

Alva's Virasat' has established extensive applause from the audience. The whole idea behind this VIRASAT to strengthen the rich cultural heritage and legacy of india. And the effort is put forward by a single force called Dr.Mohan Alva, founder president of Alva's education Foundation (AEF).
