Dr Heggade releases DVD of Vishwa Tulu Sammelano and Tulu Website

07.03.10 Mangalore : Dharmadhikari Dr. D Veerendra Heggade  after releasing the DVD of ‘Vishwa Tulu Sammelano 2009’ at  Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College on March 6, Saturday .

Speaking on the occasion he said that,  DVD will help to highlight the effort of the elders to safeguard the tulu language and culture among the future generation.  He also said that condensing the captured video of 76 hours into five and half hour DVD is the toughest job, while making it beautiful with all the graphics is the addition, But the Namma Kudla have succeeded in presenting it to the peoples collection.

Further he also launched the new website www.nammakudlanews.com, designed and managed by Santhosh B Karkera which gives the live coverage of the programme on the occasion.

Receiving the first copy of the DVD, Krishna J Palemar, district in charge minister, said that the opportunity we got to view the beauty of tulu convention, the younger generation must also get it, hence so they too get the value of it and this is possible through the modern technology and the effort of the Namma Kudla channel.

Delivering the speech in Tulu, Dr P Dayanand Pai, said that World Tulu Convention was the wonderful programme conducted under the leadership of Dr Heggade, which one must see in their life time. Further this must be continued so that the younger generation will also witness this kind of programme which focuses the value of tulu language and culture.

Later Dr Heggade was presented a model of the Tulu Sahitya Sammelan logo as a memento, on the occasion.
