ZP unveils Plans for Food Processing development

08.04.10 Mangalore : ‘The government has provided 10 crores for the Food Processing Corporation’, said R Suresh, IAS, Principal secretary to Government, Food Processing & Harvest Technology of Bangalore, speaking at the press conference organized by the Food Processing Department at Zilla Panchayat office, Mangalore on Wednesday, April 7.

He also said that they have certain plans to work for the development of the department and improve the food procession.

The six food parks will be established at Bangalore rural, Tumkur, Davangere, Shimoga, Belgaum and Bijapur under the State Budget for 2009-10. It will also set up Spice food Park at Bydagi and mega food park at Chikamagalur with the costs about 50 crore.
