Cannanore Furnishing products sold in Port city.

07.05.10 Mangalore : An Export surplus sale-cum-exhibition has been organised at the Ladies club hall, situated on the edge of the Light house hill Road, Mangalore from today, 7th May , upto 11th May 2010, open at 10 AM upto 9PM daily. The Cannanore Home Furnishing Products along with Harischandra Weaving Mills held a press conference to invite the Mangaloreans  to visit this Exhibition to buy quality Handloom items.

The looms and Handloom lores of Cannanore (now Kannur) have a rich tradition of 4 centuries and the products are exported to Australia, Europe, Mexico, Brazil and other foreign countries. The fabrics and master craftsmanship have earned Govt of India recognition, and the furnishing products of Cannanore are now found in White house of Washington in USA and Buckingham palace in London, UK.

Partners of Harishchandra Mills, and Mahesh Chandra Baliga, President of North Malabar Chamber of Commerce were present at the press meet.
