It is T.V. Maruthi (Congress) Vs.Vijay Mallya (Independent) in Rajya Sabha elections on June 17.

08.06.10 Bangalore : The Congress Party has a surplus of 29 votes and JD(S) has 27. Congress is backing  T.V. Maruthi, while JD(S) is supporting Vijaya Mallya. Both need BJP votes to reach the magic figure of 47 to win the 4th seat from the Legislative Assembly. If there is a contest, it will be on June 17, but one of them can draw on June 10 (last date) to make all 4 available seats unopposed.

The oresent position is that Oscar Fernadies (Congress) and K. Venkiah Naidu and Ayanur Manjunath (both BJP) will win their contest, but the 4th MP is unknown. Two more Independent nominations were rejected, for want of a proposer!
