09-01-09 The celebration of the annual feast of Infant Jesus was held on Thursday in Infant Jesus shrine Bikarnakatte, Mangalore. Devotees gathered in a large number irrespective of caste, creed and religion. Annual feast of Infant Jesus has the importance in restoring the peace, heal and the communal wounds and promote brotherhood. Bishop of Bellary diocese Fr Henry D Souza offered the Holy Mass along with several priests. Thousands of Men, Women and Children find peace and prosperity at the footprints of Infant Jesus. The promise - "The more you honour me; The more will I bless you" is experienced by millions across the world.

Though the festive gathering was celebrated in the evening, devotees started gathering in the morning itself.The first Eucharistic celebration of the feast day was presided over by   the Parish Priest of St. Sebastian Church, Matadakeri-Honnavar, Fr. Rudolf Pinto OCD.  Fr. D’souza elaborating the mystery of Jesus the eternal life said that Jesus through his death and resurrection won the eternal Life and his infancy is a hope for us to attain the eternal life.
