MP inaugurates Beary Cultural and Art Fair

10.06.10 Mangalore : Beary language and culture are inseparable part of the region, hence there is need of preserving age-old beary customs and traditions, said MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, inaugurating 6 month long Beary Cultural and Art Fair at Town Hall on Wednesday, June 9.

He also appreciated the effort of the organisers for conductuing the programmes to preserve the culture. Beary culture and art, is facing dangerous threat while it does not harm the language, he added.

He also stressed that Beary, Konkani and Tulu are three streams of an comphrehensive  culture, hence beray culture will live forever.

MLA U T Khader, assured the Beary artists and their patrons to support and promote Beary culture in the future too.

Kateel and Khadar released a booklet on Beary Cultural and Art Fair on the occasion.

Chairman of Beary Art Forum Abdul Azeez Baikampady presided over the occasion. Haider Parthipady welcomed the gathering  and delivered the introductory speech. Husain Katipalla compered the programme.

Yenepoya Mohammed Kunhi, B A Mohammed Haneef, P B Abdul Razzak, Walter Nandalike were present.
