Kasargod Chinna’s drama translations in 3 languages released

10.03.10 Mangalore : Kasargod Chinna’s, drama translations in 3 languages were released at a book release function organized by Bimba Charitable Trust at Canara College Auditorium on March 9, Tuesday.

The book “Samhara,” written in Kannada, was released by N Damodar Shetty , artiste and theatre director. “Aylore Aylo,” written in Konkani, was released by Charan Kumar, the award winning music director. “Kaas Patherundu,” written in Tulu, was released by Vijaya Kumar Kodialbail, the theatre director.

President of Tulu Drama Artists Union Achchutha Kallapu and P A M Rashid, the Malayalam film actor, were the chief guest of the occasion. They appreciated the work of an artiste who turns as the author for its interest in giving importance to three languages.

Amrita Someshwar presided over the programme and delivered the presidential address.

Kasargod Chinna, who had translated 3 different plays, said that he could write in three languages because he was born on the Karnataka-Kerala border.
