Al Madeena: Mass weddings Performed

10.05.10 Mangalore : Four Poor Muslim Women got married on Sunday, May 9, at Al Madeena Community Hall, Natekal, thanks to Al Madeena social organization of Manjanady.

Ullal Thankal Shaikuna Tajul Ulema, Assayed Abdul Rehman Al Bukhari, CP. Mohd. Kunhi Musliar, and Al Madeena chief Shaikuna Abbas Ustad solemnized the mass marriages.

Speaking on the occasion, PM. Abbas of Al Madeena stated that his social service outfit was arranging such marriages of poor girls since 2000, as the parents could not meet dowry demands and the girls had crossed a marriageable age. In a decade past, 114 girls got into wedlock due to efforts of Al Madeena, he added.
