Dt. Congress winds up GP elections propaganda with a press meet on Monday

10.05.10 Mangalore : DKCC office called a press meet on Monday to wind up GP elections campaign in its last leg, with Bantwal MLA and DKCC chief, again attacking the BJP government as one that creates new problems without solving pending matters in the district. B. Ramanath Rai told the press meet that BJP had failed to solve the crisis in PDS (civil supplies of essentials being sold in open markets for higher prices by a minister and officials in the Food department). He referred to many problems faced by rural Panchayats, such as power supply, housing and water in many areas. The BJP does not listen to the BPL and poor families, but loots wealth in Iron Ore mining and rising prices on commodities of daily use. Congress really was on the side of the struggling and poor families unable to make both ends (income and spending) meet. BJP blames Congress for its own (BJP’s) mistakes in rule. All Congress MLA^s worked honestly for the people who voted them to the legislature, and to attain several goals in public service, unlike the BJP representatives, Rai retorted.
