Hartalu Halappa Surrenders to CID police on Sunday

10.05.10 Bangalore  : Having run away from the political scene to a grand resort in Mysore, after his sudden cowardly resignation and its prompt acceptance, Halappa surfaced on Sunday noon at Shimoga and was taken into CID police custody with open arms. He was produced before a magistrate and was remanded to judicial custody till Monday.

Halappa appeared before Murugan , S. DSP, at 2.15 Pm along with a Lawyer. The CID Police conducted a 5 hours enquiry thereafter. He was examined for 2hours at Megon Hospital (7pm to 9pm). Halappa became sick when he was brought to the district prison, like any other culprit. His bail application will come up for hearing on May 11 itself. But why did he surrender on May 10, is not understood. He will be in the court again on Monday.
