Dr. P. Sadananda Mayya felicitated in city on Sunday

10.05.10 Mangalore : Parampalli Publications and Kalkura Foundation jointly organised a felicitation programme on Sunday, May 9 to honour Dr. P. Sadananda Mayya of MTR Foods fame of Bangalore at the city Ravindra Kalabhavan. Padmavathi, a folk artiste and Akademi awardee was also honoured on the occasion. A Food festival was also arranged side by side.

Speaking on the occasion, Pradeep Kalkura, an advertiser by profession, told the large audience that he wanted to re-introduce traditional food preparations to satisfy modern eaters tired of Pizza and Pulavs.

Kalkura fed the discerning visitors, at the Food fest with Moode, Avalakki and Chutney and such other traditional food items, besides Kheer (Payasa) and Pepper Panaka to round it off, as a delight.

Hotelier Kudpi Jagdish Shenoy, Yajna Narayan Harle, Jayaram Bhat of Karnataka Bank, Dr. Panamayya and Dr. P. Tanamayya of Parampalli Publications were present among the dignitaries.
