100th birthday celebration of K.Y.Poojary

11-02-09 Muggaguttu K. Yellianna Poojary Janma Sathabdi Samiti organized a press club on February 11, 2009 at 10.30am. The organizing committee earnestly appealed to make the centenary celebrations of their esteemed Late Muggaguttu Yellianna Poojary who rendered yeoman service to the legal profession without fear or favour and generously served thousands of thousand client from 1938 to1998 apart from training more then 90 lawyers who are now the leader of the Bar and the Country.

Sri K. Purushothama Poojary, Advocate and Former President of Mangalore Bar Association  addressing the media said that “ I was a student of K. Yellianna Poojary, who was an immense and a great person. His services extended to freedom fight movements of India and social work, by the government of Karnataka. Therefore it is our privilege and duty to render Homage to the Noble personality”. Sri M. Veerappa Moily, Former Chief Minister Govt. of Karnataka appealed to the media to contribute whatever materials and information’s which are possessing in connection with our contact in service of Late Sri K. Y. Poojary on or before 15-02-09, so as to enable the same in the souvenir which will be published during the Inaugural Function on 28^th February 2009 at T.V.Raman Pai Memorial Hall, Managlore. Sri B. Ibrahim, President of Finance Committee and Sri K. Thejomaya were also present.
