BJP to organize ‘Parliament Chalo’ against price hike

11.04.10 Mangalore : The Senior BJP leader Ananth Kumar, said that the BJP would hold a ‘Parliament Chalo’ Jatha and Parliament Gherao while the Session in Parliament would be underway to condemn the price hike of essential commodities, speaking at the BJP District office in Mangalore on Sunday, April 11. The jatha will be held on April 21, he informed.

He also said that people will gherao the parliament, due to the UPA government’s failure in controlling the prices of essential commodities. The inflation is 11.7% which is the highest in whole world and the price hike have increased double the time in past 5 years.

An issue of price hike was never discussed in the parliament, during Vajpayee government and prices were under control. Total failure of UPA government and wide spread corruption are reasons for this price hike problem.

The government claims to have four economists in its ranks, but a total failure. Instead of Food and Agriculture Ministry, Sharat Pawar shoud be given a Cricket Ministry, Kumar remarked.

The government is deceiving the common people with its slogan ‘Aam admi ke sath’. The government should stop Commodity exchange and Future trading of goods completely. It has resulted in corruption.

The petition containing 10 crore signatures in all and 1 crore signatures from Karnataka, will be given to the President of India. Over 15 thousand people will participate in ‘Parliament chalo’ from Karnataka, he said.

BJP leaders Capt Ganesh Karnik, Nagraj Shetty, Krishna J Palemar, Sanjeev Matandoor, Yogish Bhat, Ramesh S, Krishnamurthy, Padmanabha Kottari were present.
