Brahmakalashotsava of Urva Maha Ganapathi Temple to be held

12.03.10 Mangalore : The Renovation, Astabandha and Brahmakalashotsava of Shri Mahaganapathi Temple of Urva Store will be held from March 16 to March 25, under the leadership of Sri Harikrishna Tantri of Derebail, said Ajit Kumar Rai Malady, speaking at the press meet, held at temple premises on March 12, Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, prior to the ceremony, the grand horekanike procession will lead from Mangala Stadium to the temple donated by various associations on March 16 at 5 pm.

From March 16 to March 18, various religious and vedic programmes will be performed and Punar Prathishte will be held on March 19, at 10.17 am.

The ceremony will also include various cultural programme at 7 pm on all the 10 days and Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji, Pejawar Mutt, Sri Raghaveshwar Bharathi Swamiji of Hosanagar, Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Odiyoor, Sri Yogaraj Sandhyanath Swamiji of Kadri and other Swamiji’s will delivered the benedictory speeches on the occasion. Apart from them M Veerappa Maily, union minister, Dr V S Acharya, home minister, Krishna J Palemar, District in charge minister,  MLA Nalin Kumar Kateel and MLA Yogish Bhat will also participate on the occasion.

Surendra Rao, president, Brahmakalashotsava Committee, Gopal Shetty, founder member of temple, Giridhar Shetty, treasurer, Brahmakalashotsava Committee, and others were present on the occasion.
