Justice Santhosh Hegde Delivers Corporation Bank Foundation Day Lecture

12.03.10 Mangalore : The Corporation Bank organized the Foundation Day
Lecture on its 105th Foundation Day celebrations of the bank at Corporation
Bank head office, Millennium Building Hall on March 12, Friday.
Delivering the Foundation Day Lecture, on ‘Public Morality and Ethics’,
Honorable Justice, N Santhosh Hegde, Lokayukta said that Public Morality is
something which has been imposed by law and ethics is nothing but good
conduct, required in the society .
He also said that there is no fixed qualification is required for the person
to elect as a representative of the country, but it requires task of
understanding.

Morality and ethics are applicable to the representatives just as they are
applicable to members of the general public. Since institutions are not
constitutionally created, one can hardly find morality and ethics in
institutions meant to help people.
Suggesting the people to change their social attitude for the better, he
said that increase in pay or income; the corruption will not be reduced.
J M Garg, chairman and Managing Director, Corporation Bank, in his inaugural
address, said that the bank has embraced technology at the earliest.
Asit Pal, executive director, Corporation Bank welcomed the guest and
gathering. Narendra Singh, executive director, Corporation Bank proposed
vote of thanks.
