KPCC organized Torch rally

12.04.10 Mangalore : The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee organized the torch rally from Congress Office to Hampankatta Signal  via PVS Circle and Jyothi circle on April 12, Monday.

Speaking after inaugurating the rally, MLA Abhaychandra Jain, said that, the Yeddyurappa Government has failed to fulfill the promise given to the people of the state to provide 24 hours of electricity. He is an unable Chief Minister in the history of the state who cannot even provide one hour of electricity.

MLA UT Khader said that, Due to the electricity problem the students are facing lot of problem in their studies and prepare for the ongoing examinations. Yeddyurappa’s government is known for giving false assurance and not working for the development, he added.

The activists like Ivan D’Souza have taken special interest in conducting the rally to oppose the governmental policy and it is a good move, he said.

Ivan D’Souza, Moideen Bawa and others were present at the rally.

The congress activists symbolically carried away the dead body of the chief minister B S Yeddyurappa in the rally and later burnt at the Hampankatta Signal.
