Minorities Commission to take charge of Gregory Patrao case: Khusro

14.06.10 Mangalore : Gregory Patrao has the option to approach legal
authorities. The best of humanity and the state will be done said Khusro
Qureshi, Chairman, Karnataka State Minorities Commission.
He was speaking media person after the meeting held with the commissioner of
Police Seemanth Kumar Singh, Tahshildar A N Manjunath and Special Land
Acquisition officer of KIADB Krishnamurthy at Circuit House, regarding the
memorandum submitted to the Minority Commission by Mangalore Catholic Sabha
regarding to Gregory Patrao case.

He also said that, the case of land acquisition was brought in to the notice
of people little later, but we ensure to do the best of it. Later the
decision is left to the court.
Development and industries is required, but it cannot be established at the
cost of agriculture since most of the Indians still depend upon agriculture.
Patroa is honest hence concerned authorities must be answerable for the
demolition of his house.
As soon after reaching Bangalore, the matter will be studied and necessary
action will be taken, he said.
President of Catholic Sabha Walter Cyril Pinto, Activist Vidya Dinkar,
Gregory Patrao and Capt Vas were present.
