Bengre fishermen get 3 new boats.

14.06.10 Mangalore : Bengre fisher folks in Mangalore were happy to get 3 ultra modern ferry boats on Monday, from the Minister of Ports, Krishna Palemar.

Bengre Mahajana Sabha received the 3 boats named Ganga, Kumaradhara and Nethravathi that connect Bengre and the city from Tomorrow. The Coastal island village is 2 miles away from the city. About 8000 people criss - cross the distance in small boats daily.

The Sabha will now ferry people on the larger and more comfortable boats to and fro, without fear of sinking midway
