Consumer is a decision Maker: U K Kumarnath

15.03.10 Mangalore : The World Consumer Day was organised jointly by DK District  Administration Food, Public Distribution and Department of Consumer affairs Mangalore, and  District consumer forum union Dakshina Kannada on Monday, March 15, at University College,  Mangalore.

Speaking on the occasion, M J Salian, President, DK Consumer Forum, Consumer Information Center Mangalore said that the consumer protection law was enacted in American Parliament on the same day. 

P Shivshankar, CEO, District Panchayat, DK, Mangalore, in his address said that even after almost  Though the consumer law was been passed 26 years before, no positive response has surfaced from the people from this country.

U K Kumarnath, resident editor, Vijaya Karnataka, Mangalore after inaugurating the Kannada consumer monthly magazine Grahaka Chaya, said that consumer is the decision maker but none of the people and authorites pay attention to their complaints.
