B. Janardhana Poojary deprecates
Gali Reddy brothers questioning State Governor on Obalapuram Granite /Irm
Qre mines

15.05.10 Mangalore : In a press meet called by local Congress leader, B.
Janardhana Poojary at the Patrika Bhawan on May 15 in the afternoon, he
criticised the low attitude of Gali Reddy brothers of Bellary as ministers
in the state BJP government in questioning the notice issued to them by
former Union Law Minister and present Karnataka governor, Hans Raj Bhardwaj
in regard to the Obalapuram, Iron ore and Granite mines owned by them and
ores and granite sold in markets so far by them. The Reddy brothers and
healthy minister Sriramulu had stated that the Governor could not issue a
show cause notice to a minister in the state govt. under whatever propriety.

Poojary stated that the Reddy brothers had no right to mine some of the
areas in the first place and they had no authority to shift the mined
materials else where in or out of the state. The BJP government was somehow
protecting their illegal and infamous mining operations.
The state govt. had lost a total royalty on mine products of over 5400
crores of rupees so far, due to the Reddy brothers and their business
partners.
Poojary referred to the ugly episode of former minister H. Halappa to
another, from Mc Gann in Shimoga to Victoria in Bangalore. People are
pointing fingers at BJP criminal leaders one after another in and out of the
BSY cabinet. The BJP state rulers are appropriating Union grants as their
own contributions. The union grants are not utilised even to the extent of
25% properly to the developmental works in Karnataka, Poojary accused.
Congress
leaders, Arun Coelho, Kallige Taranath Shetty, Hari Krishna Bantwal among
other were present.
