Congress party holds protest against Hike in Milk Price

16.04.10 Mangalore  : The Congress north block committee staged the protest against the BJP government for unscientifically increasing the milk rate by Rs 4, in front of the milk diary of Karnataka Milk Federation in Kulshekar, Mangalore on April 16.

K Suresh Ballal, president of the Congress Party north block committee and other party leaders including Kallige Taranath Shetty and M G Hegde , urged the government to fix a uniform price for KMF milk in all the districts.

They also said that, government is creating a new problem by hiking milk price by Rs 4 and it will create injustice for the poor.

M g Hegde also alleged that, the party for raising voice for increasing the milk price by Rs 2 during Revanna’s chairmanship at KMF. The present hike of milk price came down to Rs 4, after the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike election.

Ivan D’souza Vice President of Congress North Committee, Ex. Mayors of Mangalore City Corporation Ashraf, Shashidhar Hegde, Aziz, Krishnappa Mendon, Hilda Alva, Corporates  Ashok D.K, Mohamad Badruddin, Vishwas Das, Keshava Sanil, Gretta Rebbelo, Area Corporater  Bhashkar . K were present in the protest.
