M V AIDA CARA Cruise passengers appreciate Mangalorean’s hospitality

15.04.10 : The second cruise vessel M V AIDA CARA of the current financial year was invited at New Mangalore Port carrying 1081 passengers on April 14.

The press release issued by the New Mangalore Port stated that around  800 passengers from the cruise opted for ground tour and visited places in and around Mangalore like 1000-pillar temple at Moodbidri, Monolithic statue of Lord Bahubali at Karkala, Soans farm, cashew factories, St Aloysius chapel, Gokarnanatha temple, Kadri Manjunatha temple, city shopping and returned to the vessel in the evening and sailed off. 

The cruise which came from Kochi sailed to Goa carrying Germany passengers in majority.

The tourists have enjoyed the scenic beauty of Mangalore and the hospitality extended to them during their short stay. This is the fourth voyage of this vessel since its maiden call to the Port.

The release stated that, the third vessel M V Nautical was expected to call at NMPT on April 25. 

The chairman of NMPT P Tamilvanan has stated that the beginning of this current fiscal was very encouraging and more cruise vessels were expected during the cruise season which starts from October. Hence Port is fully geared up for handling the cruise vessels by providing required infrastructure at the Port.
