Karavali College Awards Ceremony at Neerumarga

17.05.10 Mangalore : The need for giving adequate training for leading a
successful and meaningful life, along with text books and extra-curricular
activities was stressed by D.K minister for Ports and Environment, Krishna
J. Palemar, who inaugurated a talent day for the students who secured
various awards in the educational fields under the guidance of Karavali
Institute of Technology at Neerumarga, in Mangalore taluk on May 16.
The D.K district has made a name for itself in the country and abroad for
providing qualitative and cultured learning by students and I am happy that
Karavali College in my constituency is striving for these values all the
time, Palemar stated as he gave away prizes to the talented and prominent
among them.

Capt. Ganesh Karnik, MLC and NRI forum vice-president in D.K., speaking as
chief guest on the occasion, informed that only 9% of the total student
population goes into higher education academically, technically, and
professionally, as such they need to keep their quality high when D.K
colleges provide the best learning in the country. The contribution of local
people is exemplary and far-fetched in their aims and achievements, he
added.

Prof. N. Ganesh Rao, chief of the Education Trust and Karavali Colleges
presided on the occasion and told the students passing out of his
institutions that only hard work, proper knowledge and commitment to a
career, brought the necessary opportunities to earn more in a line of
applied studies. To enhance the basic amenities for every student, all
efforts are being made by his Karavali Education Trust, he added.
Director of the Karavali group, Ms. Latha G. Rao and K.I.T Principal, Dr. V.
Sheenappa were present.
