DC visits rain-hit areas of BC Road

17.06.10 Mangalore : Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj along with Mayor Rajani Dugganna, visited the rain-hit areas that causes trouble to people of BC Road and Adyar on June 16, Wednesday.

The DC and Mayor visited the area where the pedestrians and two wheeler riders are facing problems owing to heavy rain and the incomplete construction of a flyover bridge in BC Road town.

The BC road city highway has become a cause of inconvenience for people with mud all over the roads..A trench, which was dug to lay the foundation for the flyover has turned to be dangerous.

Even though the authorities had acquired land by the roadsides, still people continue to run petty shops by the roadsides. The DC has ordered to remove these shops before Saturday. 

They also visited the nearby area of Sahyadri College of Engineering, Adyar where blockage of water on roads has turned out to be a nuisance for the public and insisted the officials to solve the problem as soon as possible.
