Dr. Sadananda Perla shifted to Mangalore AIR

Dr. Sadananda Perla

18.05.10 Mangalore : Dr. S. Perla, from Kasaragod taluk in Kerala, who was in the Programmes department in Gulbarga Akashvani for 15 years, has been now transferred to Mangalore AIR, in Kadri Hills area.

Dr. Perla worked in Kasaragod and Bangalore as journalist in Samyukta Karnataka daily before joining All India Radio at Gulbarga in 1994. He conducted several new programmes in economic, social, educational and cultural spheres related to Hyderabad Karnataka (5 districts). He won the first prize for his Kannada drama “Kharevandra Thappu” at the state-level radio competition in 2009.

He has a doctorate degree from Gulbarga University for his treatise on “Kannada struggle in Kasaragod”. He promoted a D.K Sangh in Gulbarga as Secretary and later as President. He is the author of 3 books in Kannada. He has helped many a young artiste in dramas and other programmes conducted by Akashvani from time to time.
