hotel is situated in Quattara Chowki, Mangalore and has 79 rooms in it. Speaking
on the occasion, Mr Prabhat Pani,

“It gives us great pleasure in launching
our third hotel in Karnataka. The state has tremendous potential for an
innovative concept like Ginger and our initiatives will help in boosting the
infrastructure for the domestic and international travellers. Ginger Hotel has
created a niche for itself in the branded no-frills category since it launched
the first hotel in Bengaluru in 2004.”
The Ginger Hotel in Mangalore is the
17th hotel which it has added to its fast growing national

in Karnataka. The three cities- Bangalore, Mysore and Mangalore are not only
vital business hubs of the state but are also important leisure destinations.
Ginger’s presence in the state will cater to the increasing business travel in
these cities as well as service the evolving needs of the leisure traveler.
The hotel has individually air-conditioned rooms equipped with electronic locks,
a work area, a 20-inch LCD television with satellite channels, direct-dial
telephone including STD facility, mini-fridge, tea/coffee maker and posturepedic
mattresses. Other guest facilities at the hotel include a
conference room with a capacity of 25 people,
a cyber café, gymnasium, automatic check in kiosk, ATM, vending machines,
digital safe deposit boxes, well as wi-fi connectivity in the public areas and
individual rooms.
The
group, however, did not disclose its investment plans for the expansion project.
The hotel group has currently around 1,700 rooms and would be adding 100-150
rooms in each of its new hotels. Last year, the group had announced a four-year
plan to set up around 70 hotels by end of 2012-13 fiscal.
