Dr VS Acharya releases Dr K Nagappa Alva’s Biography

19.05.10 Mangalore : The people’s imagination on Dr K Nagappa Alva has been
brought in the form of his biography to influence the society, said Dr V S
Acharya, state home minister.
He was speaking after inaugurating the event and releasing the biography of
Dr K Nagappa Alva authored by Raghu Shettigar at the Town Hall on May 19,
Wednesday. He also said that, the author has done a deep study and research
on his career and life to compile the biography of a great personality.

Speaking about Nagappa Alva, Acharya said that, he had worked to maintain
strict rules to the employees. During his ministry, he thought band spoke
more on health and education centre and made more study on it.
District in charge minister Krishna J Palemar inaugurated the photo
exhibition of Nagappa Alva and said that, Dakshina Kannada always maintained
a status from the past. It his great that the personality likes Nagappa Alva
has contested from the same constituency belonging to me.

The present politicians needed the guidance from the past politicians on
their work efficiency during the existence of media which carefully watched
their single step, he added.
District in charge minister Krishna J Palemar felicitated Mohandev Alva,
son of Late Nagappa Alva on the occasion.

K Amarnath Shetty, former minister briefed on the life and career of Dr
Nagappa Alva on the occasion. M Narayana Swamy, MLA and president of Library
subcommittee of Karanataka Vidhanamandal welcomed the guests and gathering.
Presiding on the occasion, Veeranna Matthikatti, Chairman, Karnataka
Legislative Council said that Nagappa was known for his love and affection
towards his friends and fellow workers. New wave and new thought must take
place only in place like Mangalore and Nagappa belong to it, he added.

Mayor Rajani Dugganna, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA UT Khader,MLA Ramanath
Rai, Capt Ganesh Karnik, member of legislative council, Suresh Gouda, member
of Library subcommittee and Prof P V Krishna Bhat, member of legislative
council were present on the dais.
