she has been getting copious flow of devotees not just from Mangalore but also
from Udupi, Kasargod, Kannur, Karwar and Shimoga and other foreign countries as
well.
Amma's session today began with Bhajans and Satsang
and later she gave a talk on divinity and humanity covering various aspects.
Bhajans included compositions from saints of Bhakti movement of the South. The
special attraction of the session was the singing of foreign devotees of Amma
who have taken shelter under her tutelege. They have come from Germany, Italy,
USA, UK. Australia, Canada and Russia. Many top people of Mangalore and Udupi
have also had the darshan of Amma. The organisers had made all arrangements
including drinking water and toilets and car parking. The darshan of Amma was so
meticulously planned that the devotees were not required to stand in the queue
for long time. Amma will inaugurate social service programmes like
distribution of tailoring machines, scholarships, old-age pension and
handicapped allowance programmes undertaken by the committee. The district
administration has agreed to set aside an acre of land for the purpose of
continuing with ‘Amruta Kuteera’ programme envisaged by Amma.
