Nalinkumar Kateel, Mangalore MP.

20.05.10 : Two years ago frankly speaking, Nalin was as obscure BJP worker, not
anymore. He was the David with the sling (BJP) who beat congress charismatic
leader, BJP (I mean, Bantwal Janardana Poojary) of Loan mela and Kudroli temple
fame, who was the Goliath in the 2008 Lok Sabha election battle. BJP (Poojary)
relied on his 4 lakh Billava notes, yet fell on his back. Nalin became an
overnight hero in mangalore BJP circles. He gets Rs.2 crores every year from Mps
development Fund, thanks to a former pm, late P.V. Narasimha Rao. But does he
spend Rs.4 crores on getting it? no local mp has ever revealed this fact from
1947 till now, and most of them (Poojary included) have not told the voters
since 1992 as to whether they have spent any money on local development as MPs/MLAs
since 1947, or if they depended only on state / central governments (Congress or
otherwise) to spend on local developments of housing, roads, communications,
power supply, civil food supplies under PDS, education health care and so on.
For 2 years Nalin was busy painting his face, never ready to dance on the stage
in front of his people, as in Yakshagana. But suddenly, he has put in a full
page advertisement in an evening daily turned morning companion for daily
Kannada news, that he (Nalin) was pro-people, responding, and earnest in shaping
dreams of his voters in to a reality as their MP! Bravo! The ad is released in
Akshaya Tritheeya, a Gold for women festival containing only men in a really!
Obviously he is there among the men, but did not women vote for him? The present
BJP govt in Karnataka is all male, 35 of them including CM. In what way does
Nalinkumar Kateelu responds to woes of women as housemaids, housewives, school
teachers, rural Anganawadi workers, and working unmarried girls? Do the youthful
voters still rely on him as MP? Does he lead the state MPs in Lok Sabha on state
plan implementations?
