Shrinivasa Mangalam performed on May 19

20.05.10 Udupi : The first – ever marriage ceremony of Lord Shrinivasa with Sridevi and Bhoodevi as his consorts was performed as per customary rituals by expert religious priests in Udupi on May 19. It is an event that beckons devotees to the Lord’s temple (Sri Krishna Muth) in Karamballi, along with a representative of TTD-Tinepathi. The priests were deputed to Karamballi from TTD by the Dharma Prachar Committee.

Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat, managing trustee of the Karamballi temple was present on the special occasion along with dignitaries and devotees of the district. Swami Vishwesha Teertha of Pejawar Math and Swami Sugunendrateertha of Puthige Math (the immediate past Paryaya worshipper of Lord Sri Krishna) graced the occasion. TTD served 10,000 laddus as Prasadam, while the local temple gave away 50,000 laddus to devotees. Sirur and Sode Math Swamijis offered Puja to the Divine couple on their marriage.
