Mangalore cops arrests policy holder for cheating case

20.06.10 Mangalore : The Police officials have succeeded in arresting Diwakar Alva alias Diwakar B A of Vishwachetana Concepts in Mysore on June 18, said Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh.

Speaking at the press meet held at his office Singh said that, Diwakar was disappearing from post of cheating case relating to his company in Mangalore recently.

He said that, Diwakar Alva alias Diwakar B A (42), a resident of Puttur Uppalige Bettampadi village was caught by cops in Mysore. He had his offices at Manasa Towers near PVS and Mahendra Arcade at Karangalpady and was carrying out a network business. Through introducing the new policy of Rs 10,150 under his company, he had collected about Rs 21 lakh from nearly 200 people and later cheated them.

Informing about the previous record, he said that, the case has been filed against the same company in Talakawadi police station of Belgaum district under IPC section 420 on April 8, 2010 in the similar cheating in Belgaum, where he escaped with the amount of Rs 55 lakhs fooling nearly 11,000 people.

He has now been taken into police custody for 5 days for further enquiry.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of Seemanth Kumar Singh, Police Commissioner.  R Ramesh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, B J Bhandari, Assistant Police Commissioner, Niranjan Raj Urs PI, Narendra, Head Constable, and Muhammad, police constable were involved, he said .
