Dalith Samithi to stage state level protest

21.02.10 : The state government is misusing funds and spend it on serving Swamijis, temples, and Mutts, said Mavalli Shanker, the chief convener of the Karnataka Dalitha Sangarsha Samithi at the press conference organized at Kandaya Bhavan, on Feb 21, Sunday.

He complained that, the state government is neglecting the the grievances of Dalits, labourers, and farmers, apart from misusing public treasure and public resources . He also criticized the ban on cow slaughter.

He also said that Samithi has decided to hold a state-level protest on Feb 26, Friday to demand the empowerment of Dalits in all taluks and districts to fight for their rights. Shankar said that the organization will not give up till it reaches its goals.

Alsoor Murthi and Rohithaksha K also participated in the press conference.
