Wilfy Rebimbus’s Public Condolence Meeting held at Milagres Hall

22.03.10 Mangalore :  ‘It was sad to hear the death of Wilfy Rebimbus who is one of the greatest singer of Konkani World’, said Dr M Veerappa Moily, Minister for Law and Justice, delivering his heartfelt condolence at Wilfy’s Public Condolence Meeting held at Milagres Church Hall on March 22, Monday.

 

He also said that, one cannot tell him as late Wilfy Rebimbus, because he is still living in the heart of his family, friend and fans. His songs and video always remain as his memory forever throughout the generation he added.

He also said that, there are many developments in science which can cure different kind of diseases, but music and writing, are the thing which can change human psychic.

Later the memorandum was submitted to the Deputy Mayor Rajendra Kumar, proposing to rename the road leading from Valencia circle to Koti Chennayya Circle after the great singer Wilfy Rebimbus.

Ivan D’Souza, advocate and convener of Union Committee, welcomed the guests and gathering. Fr Denis Moras presided over the meeting.

Amarnath Shetty, Mohammed Masood, Basty Vaman Shenoy, James Mendonca, MLA Gopal Bhandary,  Sadanada Shetty, MLA Abhaychandra Jain and others were present on the occasion.
