160 pasenger dead in Plane crash at Mangalore International Airport

22.05.10 Mangalore : The Air India Express IX 892 crashed at Bajpe Airport in Mangalore, killing 160 passengers on the May 22, Saturday 6.30 am. 

The Air India Express 812 which carried 163 passeengers several hours before from  Dubai International Airport crashed at Mangalore in the early morning. The Aircraft crew of 6 with 163 passengers was on board the plane.

Due to the poor visibility, the aircraft passed the runway, crashed and and fell into a valley. According the sources, only 6 passengers are are said to be survived in the crash. 

The fire fighters  arrived immediately on the spot and commenced the operation and with the help of civilians and Police officials took the passengers to nearby hospitals.
