DCP conducts surprise visit to Mangalore Jail with team

 22.05.10 Mangalore : The DCP (Law & Order) R Ramesh Kumar along with his team conducted a surprise check at the Mangalore District Jail on May 21, Friday.

Speaking to the media representatives, Ramesh Kumar said that the visit to Mangalore District Jail was held for the routine administrative matter. The team conducted their check on every 240 inmates present on various issues.

 The team went about its checking of various features related to smoking, comprising of mobile phones and sim cards within the jail, but no case of violations were found, he said.

He deprived of the surprise visit organized by the police department, when the television channel exposed Prasad Attavar from inside the prison and considered it as a scheduled exercise.
