E Ahmed expresses sorrow for victims at Wenlock Hospital

23.05.10 Mangalore : The Union Minister of State for Railways E Ahmed, visited Wenlock Hospital in Mangalore, to see the dead bodies placed for identification of the tragic plane crash victims on May 23, Sunday.

Expressing his sorrow at incident, Ahmed said that, it’s not right time to find out and blame someone for the fault unless the investigation ordered by the DGCA will be completed

Answering to the media on Praful Patel’s resignation, he said that Praful Patel decided to resign from the post claiming moral responsibility for the tragedy and it must be lauded. But the decision completely lies with the Prime Minister, he added.

Thanking the local civilians for their selfless participation in rescue operation, he said that the local people without any caste and creed along with District Administration and other departments worked to rescue the victims.

There is still confusion in claiming the bodies between families are at display at all hospitals. In such a situation, resorting to DNA samples for identification will help the family to identify their loved ones, hence the expert’s team from Hyderabad has been called, he said.
