Mangalorean politician and citizen organizes condolence march 

24.05.10 Mangalore : The local politicians along with the Mangalore Citizen organized a condolence march, which commenced from Nehru Maidan to Wenlock Hospital compound via Lady Goshen Road on May 23, Sunday.

Above 200 citizens participated in the condolence march to express their heartfelt condolence for the grieving families of the plane crash victims.

Expressing his heartfelt condolence, District-in-charge Minister Krishna J Palemar said that district will observe a  week’s mourning period that started on Saturday and no government events will take place, hence the public must co-operate he said.

He also said that, the the Abbakka Utsava, which was scheduled to be held on May 22 – 23 is also called off in honour of the victims.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Yogish Bhat, MLA U. T. Khader Captain Ganesh Karnik, and others participated in this condolence march.
