SCS Hospital holds farewell to three Crash Survivors

26.05.10 Mangalore : The three Mangalore Plane crash survivors who were
admitted in SCS hospital discharged from the hospital participating in the
farewell function on May 25, Tuesday.

The three patients include Mayankutty of Kannur, Krishnan Koolikannu of
Kasargod and Pradeep who is a local resident of Mangalore were garlanded by
the hospital authorities. They shared every moment from the plane crash to
the days spent in SCS Hospital for treatment. Hospital authorities had been
very kind to them and very supportive in all aspects, they added.

Delivering the thanks giving speech, Mayankutty said that he was taken good
care by the medical staff supporting them day and night for three days. He
also said that kind treatment given to him had made to forget all the
sufferings of the disaster.
Mayankutty said that, further he would come back to the hospital again with
an intention to serve the poor and needy people.
Dr. Jeevaraj Sorake, the Managing director of the SCS hospital said the
hospital has made arrangements to transport the survivors to their native
places in their own vehicles.
The patients have not charge with any bills for the treatment given these
days because it was not right time to speak about money and bills. The Air
India authorities had assured to pay all the bills of the crash survivor’s
treatment and look forward to fulfill their assurance, he added.
The senior survivor, Krishnan Koolikannu in SCS hospital said that god gave
him courage to make the decision jump out of the fateful plane and he saved
him.
Mayor Rajani Dugganna, MLA Yogish Bhat and others were also present.
