BSNL officials staged protest against Privatization

26.03.10 Mangalore : The BSNL Associations and Unions of Executive and Non Executive forum organized a day-long protest in front of the BSNL office, Mangalore on March 26, Friday.

About 12 executive and non executive officials of the Telecom District participated in this protest. 

The protestors demanded settlement of ITS absorption issues, immediate procurement of mobile lines, and IDA Pension Reservation to retired BSNL employees.

Apart from it, they also demanded to cancel privatization of BSNL, retrenchment, and outsourcing. 

S P Bhat, P Shridharan, Venugopal, and Muralidhara K S participated in the protest.

Later, the joint forum also decided to organize an indefinite national-level strike from April 20 to draw the attention of the central government.
