Karnataka Tulu Sahithya Academy conducted ‘Bisu Minadana’

26.04.10 Mangalore : ‘The festival like Bisu was celebrated grandly in every home with family but now one can find only nuclear family, hence celebration has reduced’, said Mayor Rajani Dugganna, speaking after inaugurating the programme ‘Bisu Minadana’ organized by the Karnataka Tulu Sahithya Academy at Town Hall on April 26, Tuesday. 

Litterateur Amrutha Someshwar released the books like ‘Neyi Per’, ‘Bharatha Kavya Pasadi’ and ‘Tulunaddha Haridaser’, while Damodhar Nisarga released the 50th volume of ‘Kalase Madhipu’. He also released Amrutha Someshwar’s ‘Posa Gadhelu’ and a Cd ‘Aa Neeli Banodu’  composed by Gangadhar Padubidri.

Speaking on the occasion, Amrutha Someshwar, said that, People say that tulu books, language and culture are disappearing, but this in not the fact it is created for news.

Damodhar Nisarga, said that the works of Amrutha Someshwar is not less compared to the works of Shivaram Karant. The small books released will bring weight to the Tulu culture.

Rarnavathi Baikady and Akshatha Baikady render invocation. Bhashar Rai Kukkuvalli compered the programme.
