American Cruise Ship in Panambur

26.04.10 Mangalore : New Mangalore Port welcomed a Cruise ship full of
American tourists on April 26 The lovely Vessel ‘Nautica’ Came from Malaysia
with 643 passengers and 197 crew members to India. The tourists who got down
from the huge ship which had several on- board facilities, went to St.
Aloysius College Chapel to see Roman paintings, to Kudroli Gokarnanatha
Temple to see the brilliantly constructed Hindu shrine, Cashew industries at
the Bunder, the 1000 pillar Basadi (Jain Temple) in Moodbidri, the imposing
42 feet high Bahubali statue at Karkala and several other sights as per
plans drawn up by shipping agents for the.

D.K. in-charge minister J.Krishna Palemar visited the ‘Nautica’ ship with
his family and spoke to the crew members. They were charmed by the designs
and facilities provided in the cruise ship, such a clubs, play areas and
entertainment zones. A member of the family exclaimed that a whole town was
inside the roaming ship. It stayed for 12 hours at the New Mangalore Port
before leaving Goa.
